BTCFi Protocol's Echo Protocol announces the launch of Echo BTC Option, the first BTC option based on Aptos. Users can earn yields by utilizing idle BTC through covered call strategies. Users can choose the duration and strike price, and after depositing aBTC, they can start earning. It is expected to go live on January 21, 2026.

Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 20th, according to official sources, BTCFi Protocol Echo Protocol announced the launch of Echo BTC Option, aimed at providing users with the opportunity to earn yields by utilizing idle BTC.

As the first BTC option based on Aptos, Echo BTC Option adopts a covered call strategy to generate real returns for users. Users connect their wallets, select the cycle (14 days / 28 days) and strike price, then deposit aBTC within 24 hours to receive the yield.

After depositing aBTC into aBTC Yield, Echo uses the account to sell call options. The option buyer pays the option premium. At expiration:

If the price < strike price, then retain 100% aBTC + the option premium;

If the price > strike price, then sell aBTC at the strike price to receive USD value + the option premium.

According to reports, Echo BTC Option will officially launch at 2:00 on January 21, 2026 (10:00 Beijing time). After deposit, users can immediately earn yields. Upon expiration, it will automatically settle, fully on-chain, with no custody required.
