After experiencing a series of marketing tactics in August, the rise of the Base ecosystem has recently slowed down.

The daily token creation number of Zora, one of Base's maximum combat power, has halved compared to the peak in August, but it can still match Pump Fun. However, the same severe problem remains: although Zora, as the main Base Launchpad, has contributed a large number of post tokens, the trading value is still much lower than those Memes from Pump Fun. If the tokens from Pump Fun not only have interesting Memes but also serve the purpose of News, then Zora Coins have yet to achieve a similar effect or narrative positioning, ultimately relying on the AI foundation of Virtuals to support the trading volume of Base Launchpad.

Another important on-chain layout of Coinbase, the Base app brought over 400,000 user accounts to the Coinbase Smart Wallet in August, with the total number of accounts exceeding 1.2 million. However, the daily new CSW accounts are in a continuous decline, basically returning to the levels before the Base app was launched. It is unclear whether the previous batch of users who applied for the Base app has gradually been fully processed, or if they are continuing to implement a wave of hunger marketing.

Of course, there are still highlights. The trading via Coinbase DEX integration built into the Coinbase exchange app is quite active, although it is still in the early stages, it can be considered a good start.
