Gate News 消息，4 月 5 日，香港特区政府财政司司长陈茂波发表网志表示，3 月港股日均成交额超过 3000 亿港元，较去年同期增加逾 8%，这反映出香港作为资金的可靠避风港，加之中国内地经济稳定增长和大批优质企业来港上市，为投资者提供大量投资机会。陈茂波称，截至 3 月 27 日，香港今年 IPO（首次公开募股）集资额已超过 1030 亿港元，全球排行第一，连同后续融资等，筹资总规模约 2370 亿港元。更重要的是，来港上市的企业越来越多为新兴产业，目前轮候来港上市的申请个案已超过 500 宗。陈茂波表示，越来越多的企业视香港为融资与"出海"发展的重要窗口。
