According to DTCC announcement on May 4, 2026, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation will launch its first production-level tokenized securities trading pilot in July 2026, in collaboration with over 50 major financial institutions including BlackRock, JPMorgan, and Goldman Sachs. The initiative leverages the DTC’s established infrastructure, which currently custodies over $114 trillion in assets, to integrate tokenized real-world assets directly into U.S. capital markets settlement, covering U.S. Treasuries and Russell 1000 constituents. The pilot is authorized under a three-year SEC No-Action Letter granted in late 2025, with plans for full service launch in October 2026.
