According to sources, GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen plans to propose an acquisition of eBay on May 2. GameStop’s market cap is approximately $11 billion, while eBay is valued at around $45 billion. Following the announcement, eBay’s after-hours stock price surged over 10%, while GameStop rose about 5%. GameStop currently holds approximately $9 billion in cash reserves.
