PANews December 4th news, Ripple announced that it has joined the global social impact movement Pledge 1%, committing to using 1% of its profits to promote Block chain innovation, improve Financial Service access, expand carbon markets, and employee-led local public welfare activities. Since the launch of Ripple Impact in 2018, the company has donated more than $180 million to support important projects such as financial resilience building, humanitarian assistance, and academic research on Block chain.
Ripple, through its University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), has collaborated with over 50 top academic institutions worldwide, funding over 1500 blockchain research projects and assisting in the launch of 600 fintech courses. In terms of sustainable development, Ripple has committed to investing $100 million to expand the carbon market and promote the transparency and efficiency improvement of carbon credit trading.
