The announcement did not mention any specific current threats but warned that hacker groups might launch cyberattacks against the U.S. It also pointed out that the ongoing conflict with Iran could inspire violent extremists and hate criminals to attempt attacks. Additionally, CNN reported that two military analysts stated that due to Israel’s attacks weakening Iran’s military capabilities, Iran may adopt asymmetric measures to retaliate against the U.S.
