Golden Finance reported that on March 30, according to CBS News (Columbia Broadcasting System) in the United States, two sources familiar with the matter said that the White House privately told allies that the United States and Iran need time to reach a diplomatic agreement. They also added that the United States estimates that the most intense actions of the war itself will continue for another two to four weeks.
Two sources close to Iranian officials said that Tehran believes that diplomatic negotiations require time. These sources said Iran is skeptical about the United States’ likely interest in reaching an agreement, and that Tehran believes high energy prices give Iran favorable conditions.
The two sources said Iran is also skeptical about the joint timetable between the United States and Israel regarding ending the fighting. The Israel Defense Forces previously said it expects the fighting to continue until after Passover (that is, the first week of early April).
