Meihe Medical: Upgrades in medical devices within the embodied intelligence field will be primarily driven by specialization and functionalization.
(Source: Caixin News)
An investor asked MOGO Medical (301363.SZ): In the era of artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence, when medical devices are upgraded for the embodied intelligence field, will the focus be mainly on general-purpose solutions, or mainly on classification by medical specialties and functional categories? What plans does the company have in this regard?
On April 4, the company responded that regarding the upgrade path of medical devices in the embodied intelligence field, we believe that in the current period, the upgrade direction will still be led by “specialization” and “functionality.” This is mainly determined by the particularities of medical scenarios. Different medical fields’ devices have different requirements for accuracy, safety, and reliability, and general-purpose products cannot satisfy complex needs across departments. It is also worth noting that “specialized” and “general-purpose” are not opposites. The industry is also actively exploring a “modular” development path based on a unified underlying technical framework, deriving capabilities that adapt to different specialized scenarios—by covering multiple scenarios through swapping end effectors, thereby reducing overall costs. Over the long term, embodied intelligence in medical devices will show an evolutionary pattern of “general-purpose base units, specialized applications.” The company has built an open research and development and innovation platform based on modular reuse of general-purpose technology and deep breakthroughs in specialized technology. On the one hand, based on the technical foundation accumulated from long-term service to leading global medical device customers, the company’s R&D team systematically refines and iterates common technologies such as development technologies for medical device components and products, precision mold and molding technologies for plastic and liquid silicone rubber, automation technologies, and others. On this basis, it builds a modular technology matrix to form a transferable and reusable general-purpose technology platform; on the other hand, the company focuses on the differentiated needs in vertically segmented medical device fields, assembles specialized technology platforms to achieve deeper technical breakthroughs, and continuously delivers tailored technical solutions for products specific to subfields, in order to meet upgrade needs of medical devices in the embodied intelligence field.
