We have rescued this severely injured but extremely brave F-15 crew member/officer from the remote mountains of Iran. The Iranian military was conducting large-scale, high-intensity searches and was closing in. He is a highly respected colonel. Due to the extremely high risks to personnel and equipment, such raid operations are rarely attempted and almost never occur. The first rescue was carried out openly during the day, taking seven hours to fly over Iranian airspace, which was itself extraordinary; a second raid was then launched.
