Oman and Iran hold deputy minister-level talks to discuss security of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz

The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the local time of the 5th, saying that on the 4th, Oman and Iran held a deputy minister-level meeting between their ministries of foreign affairs, with experts from the relevant fields on both sides in attendance. During the meeting, both sides discussed feasible options on how to ensure smooth passage through the Strait of Hormuz under the current regional situation. The experts from both sides also put forward a number of ideas and suggestions on related issues for further research. (CCTV)
