At present, thunderstorm cloud groups in Hong Kong are moving toward the east-northeast direction, and their intensity remains unchanged. It is expected that within the next 1-2 hours, in our city’s Dapeng New District and the eastern sea area, the weather will turn to thunderstorms and rain showers. At some times, the rainfall will be heavy. During thunderstorms, there will also be short-term strong winds of level 6-8. In addition, thunderstorm cloud groups near the Pearl River Estuary are gradually starting to form and develop. Under their influence, the weather in our city will gradually turn to thunderstorms and rain showers this afternoon.
This morning is mainly cloudy. From noon to evening, there will be thunderstorms and rain showers, with cumulative rainfall that may reach rainstorm levels. It will be accompanied by severe convective weather such as short-term strong winds of level 6-8. During the Qingming holiday, the weather will be unstable, with a high risk of severe convection and rainstorms, and there will be multiple rounds of thunderstorm weather processes.
