Tuya Smart partners with Kazakhstan's leading telecom operator

(“Tuya Smart”) announced that they have reached a cooperation agreement. Leveraging Tuya Smart’s technical capabilities in its AI+IoT platform, and combining Freedom Telecom Operations’ local digital infrastructure and channel advantages, both sides will jointly accelerate the rollout of new ecosystem scenarios such as AI-powered home solutions in Kazakhstan and the broader Central Asian market, injecting new momentum into the development of an AI intelligent ecosystem in “Belt and Road” countries.

Freedom Telecom Operations’ Chief Executive Officer Kairat Akhmetov and Tuya Smart’s General Manager for the Eurasia region, Yu Fei, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.

Targeting the Kazakhstan and broader Central Asia markets, the two sides will jointly develop an in-home smart product lineup, including AI speakers, smart gateways, IPC cameras, and various types of sensors, and explore the application of AI energy in apartment scenarios, as well as intelligent operator scenarios that combine with insurance business.

The two sides will first focus on the joint development of AI home solutions, creating plug-and-play smart device kits, and integrating them into Freedom Telecom Operations’ digital applications so that users can conveniently manage home security, lighting, environmental control, and other systems.

Tuya Smart will also serve as a core technology and ecosystem partner, helping Freedom Telecom Operations quickly build a smart home service system that meets local needs and can be flexibly expanded. This cooperation is not only the implementation of a single project, but also an important practice for Tuya Smart to support the co-building of AI+IoT ecosystems in “Belt and Road” countries.
