According to Aladdin (ALD) tracking data, last week Guinea bauxite shipment volume was about 6.38 million wet tons, a significant increase versus the previous week. By region, Kamsar’s shipments were about 4.46 million wet tons, continuing to serve as Guinea’s largest bauxite shipping destination; shipments from the Boffa area were about 1.55 million wet tons; in addition, Cap Verga and Conakry shipped about 0.16 million tons and 0.21 million tons, respectively. Overall, Guinea’s bauxite shipment levels have risen markedly, and major ports have continued to operate smoothly. From the shipment mix, Kamsar’s share further increased to about 70%, and its leading position remains firmly consolidated; shipments from the Boffa mining areas continue to provide a stable contribution. With improved mine production and port loading efficiency, together with some mining areas carrying out stage-based concentrated shipments, shipment volumes over the past one or two weeks will remain at a high level. However, as oil prices continue to stay high and sea freight remains elevated, April’s ore shipments may be affected.
