U.S. media reports that more than 1,000 U.S. troops have been withdrawn from Bahrain

On April 3, National Public Radio in the United States reported, citing remarks from a U.S. Navy spokesperson, that after the U.S.-Iran conflict began, 1,500 U.S. servicemembers and their family members stationed at a U.S. military base in Bahrain had been “relocated back to the United States.” The report also said that personnel evacuations had taken place at other U.S. military bases in the Middle East, but specific figures are not clear at this time.
