Guinea will cut bauxite exports, excluding the possibility of a ban

Guinea’s Minister of Mines Bouna Syla said in an interview with foreign media on March 24: “This is not a quota in the true sense, but we will reduce our bauxite exports.” He ruled out the possibility of an export ban and emphasized that “all companies will be affected.” This measure is intended to generate more fiscal revenue for the country, while also ensuring the sustainable operations of mining operators.
