According to reporters, on March 27 local time, U.S. President Trump spoke with Indian Prime Minister Modi about the situation in the Middle East, and U.S. entrepreneur Elon Musk was also involved. It is uncommon for a private entrepreneur without a government position to participate in conversations between national leaders, especially when the discussion involves national security issues.

Reports indicate that the call primarily focused on the escalating situation in the Middle East, particularly concerning Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz. This strait is a crucial passage for global oil and gas transportation, and current shipping disruptions have led to rising energy prices and impacted global markets.

It remains unclear why Musk participated in this call or if he spoke during the conversation. Allegedly, Musk has investments in Middle Eastern countries and is also seeking to expand his business presence in the Indian market.

Analysts believe this move also indicates a thaw in the relationship between Musk and Trump. The two had previously experienced differences after Trump left his government position, but their relationship has reportedly improved recently.
