People’s Finance News, March 26—On March 26, at the Zhongguancun Forum annual conference—RISC-V ecosystem science and technology forum, the Chinese Academy of Sciences officially unveiled a series of major achievements in key RISC-V technology breakthroughs, industry-wide collaborative innovation, and talent cultivation. It rolled out two major achievements in a focused manner: the “Xiangshan” open-source processor and the “Ruyi” native operating system, and formally launched joint R&D work on next-generation chips and operating systems. Experts said that RISC-V is a globally free and open chip-level architecture, equivalent to a “universal standard” in the chip industry. It does not require paying patent fees, can be independently modified, and is one of the important routes for our country to break through the chip ecosystem and develop controllable computing power.
