Today, it was learned that the State Administration for Market Regulation approved the establishment of a beta radiation tissue absorption dose standard device by the China Institute of Metrology. This device is the only national standard for charged particle protective dose measurement in China’s ionizing radiation metrology field, providing a unified measurement standard for beta radiation dose measurement. Its measurement capability has reached an internationally advanced level. The establishment of the beta radiation tissue absorption dose standard device will further improve China’s traceability system in this field, enhance the performance evaluation of domestic nuclear radiation dose monitoring equipment and clinical radiotherapy techniques, and provide solid metrological support and assurance for industries such as nuclear industry, nuclear energy utilization, environmental protection, and healthcare.
