Anthropic is really left-leaning. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei stated that the company will reject the "final proposal" to continue collaborating with the U.S. military, which could trigger legal disputes between one of America's leading AI labs and the Pentagon.

The maker of the Claude AI model refused to allow the Department of Defense free use of its technology, citing concerns that the technology could be used to develop lethal autonomous weapons and large-scale domestic surveillance.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin summoned Amodei to Washington on Tuesday, demanding that Anthropic allow its models to be used legally by Friday, or face the risk of being removed from the Pentagon's supply chain or having their technology exploited by others.
"These threats will not change our stance: we cannot in good conscience agree to their demands," Amodei wrote in a blog post on Thursday.
He added that Anthropic still hopes to reach an agreement. "Given the tremendous value of Anthropic's technology to our armed forces, we hope they will reconsider," Amodei said.
