CME Group will launch single-stock futures this summer. The new product will allow market participants to trade futures on over 50 leading U.S. stocks within the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Russell 1000 indices. Tim McCourt, Global Head of Equity, FX, and Alternative Investment Products at CME Group, said, “These contracts will provide a simpler and more cost-effective way to express views on individual stock movements, while allowing market participants to gain exposure or hedge against potential price volatility without directly buying the stocks.” (Sina Finance)
