Abstract generation in progress

Unions representing American Airlines pilots and flight attendants have publicly criticized the airline’s leadership and performance. The flight attendants’ union issued a unanimous vote of no confidence in CEO Robert Isom, while the pilots’ union requested a meeting with the board, citing the airline’s underperforming path compared to Delta and United. American Airlines has lagged significantly in profitability, earning only 6% of the U.S. airline industry’s total profits in 2024 and 2025, despite being the largest carrier by flights and passengers.
