Just checked the official ISO website, and it's crystal clear:
"Cryptocurrencies are not inherently ISO 20022 compliant. ISO 20022 is a global standard for financial messaging."
People need to stop spreading that narrative. There's no "chosen token" situation happening here. The standard doesn't require some special liquidity asset, and there's definitely no price pump mechanism baked into it.
This whole idea that certain cryptos are somehow officially selected for ISO 20022 compliance? That's not how any of this works. The standard is about messaging formats between financial institutions, period.
