What are the common pitfalls in trading?

Place orders based on "intuition."

"It feels like it's going to crash."
I feel like this wave can take off.
"It's about time to stop, isn't it?"

Feels like this thing —
Chatting and dating are useful, but watching the market and placing orders? That's real money playing psychological games with you.

What is the professional approach?
"The 15-minute K-line shows an engulfing pattern, I choose ___"
"The confirmation of the death cross of moving averages indicates a trend reversal, so I ___"
Instead of just thinking, "I feel like Bitcoin is going to hit 200,000, let's go all in!"

The market doesn't care about your sixth sense. Data speaks, patterns speak, your intuition? It only bids farewell to your account.

This is another article about feelings, but the real problem is that most people do not have a real trading system; they just use "looking at Candlesticks" as a psychological comfort. My quantitative backtesting data shows that pure technical signals have a winning rate that is indeed 35% higher than feeling-based trading, but that is still not enough. The key is execution discipline. To be honest, I have also fallen into traps; that wave in 2021 was really destroyed by my own intuition, and my account shrank without any discussion. Now I have changed, but I have discovered a problem — the more one understands Technical Analysis, the easier it is to overtrade. Patterns like engulfing and death crosses are happening every day in the market, but only 10% of the signals can actually make money. The other 90% are traps. So it’s not a matter of whether there is a system, but whether you are alive to see the day when the system really works.

It's true, you only understand this lesson after losing all your money in an all-in bet.

Really, I feel like this thing can kill people. I went all in based on my feelings last year, and I'm still eating dirt now.

It's so heartbreaking. I feel like I've done this too many times, and now I'm losing terribly.

Placing orders based on gut feeling is just giving money away. My friend played like this and lost everything.

Trading based on gut feeling is really just giving away your money, going all in is a faster way to lose it all. --- When faced with data, feelings are just a joke—you only understand after losing money. --- Let me ask, how many people are still making decisions by gut? Raise your hand, let me see. --- Moving average death crosses and such are definitely more reliable than "feelings," but honestly, who can really stick to the rules? --- It sounds right, but is there really anyone who can resist going all in? --- What you said is correct, but execution is the hard part. Most people have to lose once before they believe it. --- Gut feeling should probably be banned, just freeze the account already. --- So the key is to build your own trading system, not to be led by your emotions. --- K-line pattern analysis is definitely much better than relying on intuition, but it takes time to master. --- I think your article is well written, though I’ll still probably trade by feeling, haha.
