Abstract generation in progress

DeFi Technologies announced that CEO Olivier Roussy Newton has resigned, and co-founder Johan Wattenström has been appointed as the new CEO and Executive Chairman. During Roussy Newton's three-year tenure, the company expanded its ETP platform to 100 products, managing assets exceeding $1 billion, successfully listed on NASDAQ, and saw revenue rise from $4.5 million in 2021 to over $80 million so far in 2024. Roussy Newton will transition to a strategic advisor in December but will still hold a significant stake in the company. Wattenström has nearly 20 years of experience in the digital asset industry, having co-founded Valour and previously established the world's first Bitcoin ETP—XBT Provider.
