Abstract generation in progress

A Bitcoin user accidentally paid a fee of nearly 1 Bitcoin (worth $105,000), while the actual transaction amount was only $10, making it one of the largest overpayment cases for fees in the past year. This transaction is included in the 923023 block mined by MARA's own Mining Pool, involving a fee of 99,989,964 Satoshi (about 0.9999 Bitcoin), while the actual transfer amount was only 0.00010036 Bitcoin. Mempool.space estimates that this overpaid fee is 226,000 times the normal rate, as current network fees are at historical lows, usually below $1. It is unclear whether the MARA Mining Pool will refund this fee, which is different from previous cases with public mining pools like Foundry USA or Antpool.
