💹 Number Shortcuts in Web3 & Beyond

What's This "K" Thing? 🚀

Digital spaces use "K" for thousand. Simple stuff.

  • 1K = 1,000
  • 10K = 10,000
  • 100K = 100,000

Web3 folks throw this around when talking prices or community size. Kind of everywhere these days.

The Million Mark 🔥

A million. Big number. Has six zeros trailing behind it like excited fans:

  • 1,000,000 = one million
  • 5,000,000 = five million
  • 10,000,000 = ten million

Financial types write it as "M" mostly. Sometimes "MM" in accounting circles. Scientists get fancy with their 1e6 notation. Whatever works!

Billion Territory 🌕

Billions are massive. Crypto whales swim here.

  • 1,000,000,000 = one billion
  • 10,000,000,000 = ten billion

These numbers make my head spin. Not entirely clear why we need this many zeros.

Numbers Get Cultural 🌎

Numbers look different depending where you're standing.

Indians count differently. They say:

  • 10 Lakhs = 1 Million (10,00,000)

Seems weird until you grow up with it.

Quick Cheat Sheet 📊

You'll need these if you're diving into Web3. Trust me. Numbers everywhere.
