I smell blood that isn't there! How about you?

I once noticed a strange thing - I smell blood. Just out of nowhere. There's no blood around, but the smell is there. This is called phantosmia.

Phantosmia. A funny word. It refers to when you smell something that isn't actually nearby. Often, these phantom aromas are not the most pleasant - blood, metal, something like that...

Recently, I was sitting with friends and I told them about it. They looked at me strangely, as if I were some mysterious character with secret knowledge about health 🐋. I just shared an observation and that it could be an important signal.

It seems that many are not even aware that phantom smells can indicate various problems. Sinusitis. Infections. Even something neurological.

I smile 😂 when I hear people say: "It's nothing serious, it will pass by itself". Why wait?

Question for you ❓ Are you ready to ignore what your body is trying to say ⁉️

I won’t write much about it. Just thoughts out loud. Maybe it will be useful to someone.

I decided to observe my condition for now. There are reasons. If you have something similar, but it doesn't worry you too much - maybe it's temporary.

Want to figure it out? Write down the symptoms for the doctor. Don't rush. There's time.

I have a small piece of advice, I read something 🌹 about phantosmia:

You should see a doctor if the odors persist for a long time. Or if headaches appear. Dizziness. Other worrying signs.

Take care!
