LD Capital's Founder JackYi Reveals Short-Term Price Prediction for Ethereum! Is a Short Squeeze Coming? Here are the Details

Crypto market’s well-known name and LD Capital’s founder JackYi expressed a strong opinion in favor of a rise for Ethereum (ETH) in a post on the social media platform X.

LD Capital Founder JackYi: “A $5 Billion ETH Short Position Could Be Liquidated, Target $4000”

JackYi stated that the massive short positions in Ethereum could soon create a “short squeeze”.

According to JackYi, currently:

• CME ( Chicago Mercantile Exchange ) has approximately $1.3 billion worth of ETH short positions,
• A short position based on borrowing worth 1 billion dollars on Aave,
• Other major crypto exchanges have short positions worth approximately 3 billion dollars.

JackYi emphasized that there are approximately 5 billion dollars worth of ETH short positions, and stated that if these positions were to get squeezed collectively, it is possible for the ETH price to rise to 3000 dollars first, and then to the range of 3500 – 4000 dollars.

JackYi also mentioned that this rise scenario is based on his personally held position of 100,000 ETH call option (.

Record Levels in Ethereum Futures Trading

According to the data provider Coinglass, the open position amount in Ethereum futures has also reached historic levels.

• There are 14.94 million ETH open positions across the entire network.
• This figure is approximately equivalent to 41.5 billion dollars.
• The increase rate in the last 24 hours was recorded as 7.53%.

This development shows that interest in Ethereum has increased again and that institutional investors are taking more aggressive positions.

LD Capital founder JackYi reiterated his optimism towards the Ethereum ecosystem in another post dated June 10. JackYi’s assessments are summarized as follows:

• The value of ETH’s own token is still significantly low, especially a recovery is expected in the bull season for the ETH/BTC ratio.
• With the relaxation of regulations, traditional capital will quickly flow into projects that have real users, products, and revenue models.
• Wall Street capital has now actively started to position itself in the Ethereum ecosystem.
