On October 14, Vida, the founder of Equation News, tweeted that "by querying the historical records of the CEX Spot order book, it was found that ATOMUSDT briefly touched 0.001 USD within 8 milliseconds from 2025-10-11 05:20:37.689 to 05:20:37.697. At that time, market makers had all exited, and there was no one to take the sell orders, resulting in an instant price fall. The price quickly rebounded within the next few milliseconds. The CEX Spot indeed saw that price, but it will not affect the contract Get Liquidated price, as the contract mark price is calculated using a sliding average over several minutes, therefore the contract price did not fall to 0.001 USD."
