Super Micro Computer Taiwan Office Raided Over Alleged NVIDIA Chip Smuggling, Stock Plunges 8.1% Overnight

According to CTi News, Taiwan's Keelung District Prosecutors Office raided Super Micro Computer's Taiwan office and 11 other locations yesterday (June 29-30), detaining 6 individuals on suspicion of document forgery, breach of duty, and evidence tampering. Three suspects were held in custody without bail. The investigation alleged that employees smuggled servers equipped with Nvidia's advanced AI chips to China, Hong Kong, and Macau using false export declarations and misreported specifications. In response, Super Micro Computer stated it is cooperating fully with Taiwan authorities to protect advanced technology and intellectual property. Super Micro's stock declined 8.1% to $28.15 on June 29 following the disclosure.
