South Korea Plans 8 Million Billion Won Investment to Build Four Semiconductor Factories, Samsung and SK Hynix Each to Construct Two Plants

According to BlockBeats, the South Korean government announced on June 29 plans to build four semiconductor factories in the southwest region with an investment of approximately 8 million billion won. Samsung Electronics will construct two semiconductor plants and SK Hynix will construct two facilities. The government also pledged that semiconductor sector investments over the next 15 years will reach at least 30 trillion won, covering next-generation memory, edge artificial intelligence, and defense applications.
