Jia Yangqing Leaves Nvidia After One Year as DGX Cloud Lepton Performance Disappoints

According to SemiAnalysis, Jia Yangqing, founder of LeptonAI and Nvidia's VP of systems software, has left the company less than a year after Nvidia's April 2025 acquisition. CEO Jensen Huang expressed dissatisfaction with DGX Cloud Lepton's operational performance, and the two sides disagreed over product execution and open-source commitments. Nvidia had promised to open-source LeptonAI's core platform by end of 2026 but has not delivered.
