Hong Kong Stocks Mixed Midday: Hang Seng Down 1.19%, Optical Communications Outperform

According to ZhiTong Finance, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 1.19% to 22,752 points by midday on June 30, while the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.4%. Morning trading volume reached 139.9 billion Hong Kong dollars.

Optical communications stocks surged against the broader decline, with Haikang Chip up 15% and Yangtze Optical up 7.9%. In IPO debuts, Zhen Jiankang Medical-B jumped 197%, Laifu Harmonic gained 12%, Sturgeon Dragon Technology climbed 45%, and Jiangxi Biotech fell 9.8% on first-day trading.
