France Procures 30,000 Air Conditioners for Hospitals to Combat Heatwave

According to French Health Minister Stéphanie Ristelle on June 28, France's government is procuring 30,000 air conditioners for hospitals to tackle an incoming heatwave, with delivery expected within coming days. Ristelle noted that not all hospital wards in France are equipped with cooling or air conditioning systems. While some hospitals have been rebuilt or renovated since a record heatwave in 2003, others have yet to complete upgrades.
