Fosun Breaks Ground on Clearwater Bay Development With 800+ Residential Units, 215K Sq Ft Commercial Space

According to Fosun International chairman Guo Guangchang, the Clearwater Bay comprehensive development project at the former Shaw Brothers studio site broke ground today (June 29). The project will provide over 800 residential units and approximately 215,000 square feet of commercial space across four development phases, with presales expected as early as end of 2027.

Forland Hong Kong chairman Liu Yani said the total investment is expected to exceed 10 billion Hong Kong dollars, with pricing strategy expected to remain conservative. The project is anticipated to be completed in phases starting from 2030 and will preserve multiple historic Shaw Brothers buildings and facilities, including administrative office, dubbing studio, and color film processing plant.
