According to BlockBeats, a Chinese-owned crude oil tanker was attacked at the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz on May 4, with its deck catching fire. The vessel was identified as "CHINA OWNER&CREW" during the attack. On May 6, French container shipping company CMA CGM reported that its small container ship San Antonio was also attacked while transiting the strait, resulting in crew injuries and vessel damage. The attacks follow heightened tensions in the waterway as Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces have targeted multiple commercial vessels.
