China to Impose 55% Additional Tariff on Australian Beef from June 20

China's Ministry of Commerce announced on June 19 that Australian beef imports under its safeguard measures reached 100% of the specified quota on June 18. Effective from 00:00 on June 20, beef imported from Australia will be subject to an additional 55% tariff on top of the existing applicable tariff rate, according to the ministry's notice 2025 No. 87.
