Chaplot 是具身智能（Embodied AI）领域的领军人物。在 Mistral AI 期间，他直接主导了 Mistral 7B、Mixtral 8x7B 及 Mistral Large 等核心模型的训练，并领导开发了多模态模型 Pixtral 12B。此后，他成为 OpenAI 前 CTO Mira Murati 创立的 Thinking Machines Lab 的创始团队成员。
加上此前从 AI 编程工具 Cursor 加盟的 Andrew Milich 和 Jason Ginsberg，xAI 在一周内连续引进三名重量级人才，形成"模型层重建+产品层发力"的组合布局。这与此前曝出的联合创始人持续出走形成鲜明对比：xAI 一边在人才流失，一边在大规模引进新血液。
