Ezviz Launches AI Hardware Line, Prioritizes Security in Smart Home Strategy

CryptoFrontier

On April 21, smart home leader Ezviz (688475.SH) held its 2026 brand launch event, announcing multiple AI-powered hardware products and emphasizing security as the foundational principle of its product development strategy. Chief Product Officer Chen Guanlan stated that regardless of industry trends over the past decade—from single-product connectivity to whole-home intelligence to current large language model adoption—the company maintains security as its first principle and lifeline for user experience.

Product Strategy and AI Integration

Ezviz outlined its technology evolution pathway as progressing from security protection to proactive intelligence. Over the past ten years, the company addressed “visibility, connectivity, and stable storage,” establishing foundational security infrastructure. The next decade aims to enable devices not only to sense the physical world but also to understand scenarios and intentions while proactively delivering appropriate services.

Multimodal large language models are identified as the key to achieving proactive intelligence. In 2024, Ezviz released its Lanhai large model, upgraded to version 2.0 in 2025. According to the company, the new model demonstrates enhanced processing capabilities for video, audio, and text, faster response times, and higher accuracy, with deeper scene understanding serving as the prerequisite for all proactive services.

New Hardware Launches

At the April 21 event, Ezviz launched multiple AI hardware products including an AI large model host, AI portable camera, AI panoramic smart lock, and AI steam cleaning robot. The company also upgraded its brand mission from “enabling everyone to easily enjoy safe intelligent living” to “co-creating a better life with safe intelligent technology.”

The core product is the EZVIZ AI CoreX, a local intelligence hub deployed in homes. As a key edge-side component in Ezviz’s “cloud-edge-device” collaborative architecture, the EZVIZ AI CoreX incorporates the Lanhai large model 2.0 and Home Vita agent, featuring 64T computing power and supporting whole-home device aggregation, natural language retrieval, and automated scenario linkage. The product will first launch in overseas markets.

In the smart home camera segment, Ezviz expanded its product line. The “Magic Cube” CB60 Pro battery 4G waterproof version upgraded radar penetration detection, GPS+BeiDou positioning, dust and water resistance, and removable magnetic base for complex outdoor environments. In 2025, Ezviz launched the CB60, a 4G battery-powered mobile camera, which the company identified as a bestselling product in an April 11 earnings briefing.

Ezviz also launched the Akiitu sub-brand targeting outdoor enthusiasts and sports-oriented consumers. According to company representatives, this reflects two strategic observations: historically, the company focused less on individual consumers; and while the company began considering personal mobile IoT in 2022, its applications remained fixed-form IoT. The CB60 broke this business boundary by introducing mobility, and Akiitu represents a new product category with different brand positioning from Ezviz’s family security focus.

Market Position and Geographic Expansion

In the smart home camera sector, Ezviz holds a leading market position. According to IDC reports, the company’s shipments ranked first globally in 2025. The company is expanding beyond its traditional home security base to address outdoor consumer needs.

Geographically, Ezviz is experiencing significant overseas growth. In 2025, domestic revenue reached 35.30 billion yuan, representing 60.16% of total revenue with 1.25% year-over-year growth. Overseas revenue reached 23.38 billion yuan, representing 39.84% of total revenue with 22.27% year-over-year growth. In an earnings briefing, the company indicated that overseas revenue share is rising and will gradually exceed domestic revenue, describing this as a clear trend. Overseas product shipments are progressively approaching or exceeding domestic shipments.

Financial Performance

Ezviz’s 2025 full-year revenue totaled 59.01 billion yuan, representing 8.44% year-over-year growth. Net profit attributable to listed company shareholders reached 5.67 billion yuan, up 12.43% year-over-year. Operating cash flow increased significantly to 11.20 billion yuan, up 104.30% year-over-year.

Within product categories, the smart home camera business—the company’s core segment—generated 31.80 billion yuan in 2025 revenue, up 7.87% year-over-year, with gross margin improving 2.14 percentage points to 39.33%. The smart entry business, serving as the second growth curve, achieved 9.36 billion yuan in revenue, up 25.25% year-over-year, with gross margin improving 4.86 percentage points to 47.39%.

In the first quarter of 2026, Ezviz achieved revenue of 14.13 billion yuan, up 2.36% year-over-year. Net profit attributable to listed company shareholders reached 1.83 billion yuan, up 32.30% year-over-year.
