Binance completes the ApeCoin contract swap on the BNB Chain
Binance has completed the contract swap for ApeCoin (APE) to BNB Smart Chain, allowing users to exchange the new token at a 1:1 ratio starting from November 3, 2025. The old token has been renamed APEOLD and is no longer supported for withdrawal.
This move enhances security, improves operational efficiency, and ensures that the transition process occurs smoothly, without interrupting transactions. The entire process is handled automatically by Binance, demonstrating the platform's adaptability and prioritization of user experience.
After switching to BNB Smart Chain, ApeCoin can leverage upgraded smart contract features and expand cross-chain liquidity (cross-chain), contributing to increased utility for the BEP20 ecosystem. Binance stated that the reopening of APE withdrawals will be announced after the swap process is completed, while trading continues as usual.
