Hearing these numbers can be a bit confusing, right? What you once bought for $3 is now worth three-quarters of a million dollars. Data shows that Bitcoin’s market capitalization even slightly decreased by 0.43%, while Ethereum gained 2.97%. Against the backdrop of April data (BTC +8.43%, ETH +6.84% for the month), it’s clear that the Ethereum price continues to maintain a good pace. Interestingly, this seems to be a conscious shift — from assets as a store of value to those that react more sensitively to liquidity changes. Ethereum’s volatility was 62.8% compared to 49.8% for Bitcoin, meaning ETH fluctuates much more sharply. Despite a correlation of 0.94, the Ethereum price moves more intensely, attracting traders seeking higher short-term returns. Additionally, on-chain data shows that ETH is being withdrawn from exchanges — a hint that selling pressure is decreasing. Network activity is increasing, and the number of addresses is growing. It appears the Ethereum ecosystem is gaining real momentum — with stablecoins, DeFi, RWA tokenization. This attracts more attention than just the narrative of Bitcoin as digital gold. If market conditions improve, the Ethereum price could further accelerate ahead.

BTC is currently in a quite tricky condition. I noticed that an evening star pattern is forming on the daily chart, and this has become a fairly reliable signal for a bearish move. So my scenario still remains, we might retest the 60k level first before there’s a more serious rebound opportunity. If the support in this area isn’t strong and BTC breaks down, my final target for this bearish phase is 48k. But let’s see first whether the market can hold or continues to slide down. If 60k is broken, 48k will become a zone to watch before we see a stronger bullish momentum.
