Pi Network launches quick KYC using AI, allowing earlier activation of the mainnet wallet.

Pi Network has just announced an improved KYC process that is faster with support from AI technology, allowing users – commonly known as Pioneers – to activate their mainnet wallet before completing the required 30 mining sessions as previously mandated.

This feature currently only applies to eligible accounts with fewer mining sessions than the traditional requirements. However, quick KYC only allows the activation of the mainnet wallet, and does not support the transfer of (migration) PI tokens to the mainnet.

This move is seen as a step to accelerate user experience, while also expanding access to the mainnet wallet for the larger Pi community. Although it is not yet possible to directly trade PI on the mainnet, the expectation is that shortening the initial procedures will create a favorable foundation for subsequent activities as the Pi ecosystem continues to improve.
