The blockchain platform Space and Time, focused on zero-knowledge (ZK) data verification, announced the official launch of its mainnet. As a new infrastructure open to developers, Space and Time aims to provide reliable data support for smart contracts, accelerating the implementation of the next generation of data-driven Web3 applications.

In traditional blockchain architecture, smart contracts inherently cannot access off-chain, historical, or cross-chain data, which greatly limits the complexity and interactivity of on-chain applications. Space and Time offers a brand new solution—by integrating data from mainstream public chains such as Ethereum through a decentralized database verification network, and using core technology Proof of SQL (a sub-second zero-knowledge database co-processor) to perform ZK verification during the data query process, ensuring the security, verifiability, and trustlessness of data calls.

Scott Dykstra, co-founder and core contributor of Space and Time, stated:

Before the emergence of Space and Time, on-chain applications often faced the risk of tampering or security vulnerabilities when calling user data from databases. At the same time, traditional enterprises could not securely connect their cloud databases to blockchain systems. The launch of the Space and Time mainnet provides developers with new capabilities: to build more complex, data-driven, and cryptographically secure on-chain applications.

With the continuous development of on-chain innovations, including dynamic financial products, AI-driven smart agents, and the on-chain application of real-world assets (RWA), the market has raised higher demands for "trusted data invocation." Space and Time has emerged in this context to provide underlying support and bridge the trust barrier between on-chain contracts and external data.

The project was launched by the cutting-edge protocol research institution MakeInfinite Labs, which has received support from top-tier capital such as Microsoft's M12 fund. In addition to Space and Time itself, MakeInfinite Labs has also introduced several key technological products, including Proof of SQL, Blitzar, Elastic Network, and the DeFi Yield Index launched in collaboration with Chainlink, continuously aiding the development of the entire Web3 ecosystem.

Nate Holiday, co-founder and CEO of MakeInfinite Labs, stated:

We focus on building the core infrastructure needed for the next generation of crypto applications. Proof of SQL and Space and Time architecture are a reflection of this strategic vision. We hope to inspire the emergence of more verifiable, data-driven applications through the open use of these technologies.

Space and Time adopts a decentralized node architecture, and anyone can participate in the ecosystem by providing high-quality datasets, staking tokens, or running nodes.

Project Introduction

Space and Time is the world's first blockchain platform designed specifically for ZK data verification, allowing smart contracts to securely and trustlessly access information from any chain or external data source. Its core technology, Proof of SQL, is a sub-second ZK database co-processor that helps developers build smarter, richer, and more reliable data-driven blockchain applications.
