Although the DeFi industry has already developed a fairly complete financial ecosystem, ordinary users still face significant barriers in practice. They often need to manage seed phrases, switch between different blockchain networks, and move frequently across multiple wallets, cross-chain bridges, and protocols just to manage assets or complete transactions. This complex onchain interaction experience has become a major limitation on DeFi’s broader adoption.
Against this backdrop, Infinex aims to provide an onchain experience closer to that of a centralized exchange, or CEX, while preserving users’ self-custodial control over their assets. Through Account Abstraction, Passkey login, and an aggregated trading system, the platform brings cross-chain activity, trading, yield, and asset management into a unified entry point.
Infinex’s core goal is to reduce the complexity ordinary users face when using onchain finance. Traditional Web3 wallets place more emphasis on private key and address management, while Infinex focuses more on a unified account experience. It aims to let users access the onchain ecosystem much like they would use an internet application, without constantly dealing with chain switching, gas payments, and complex signing flows.
Infinex has deep ties to the Synthetix ecosystem, and its proposer, Kain Warwick, has long focused on the challenge of DeFi user growth. Compared with a single protocol, Infinex is more like an aggregated entry point for connecting different blockchains and financial protocols.
One of Infinex’s most important features is its use of Passkey in place of the traditional seed phrase system. Users can log in and sign through Face ID, Touch ID, or device verification without manually storing a seed phrase. This model reduces the asset risks that can arise from seed phrase loss or leakage.
Infinex introduces Account Abstraction logic, allowing accounts to support more flexible permission management. For example, the system can handle gas fees in a unified way and support multichain asset management. Compared with traditional EOA wallets, this model feels closer to an internet account experience.
Infinex also supports a unified Portfolio view, allowing users to see assets and position status across multiple chains without frequently switching networks.
Swidge is a core module of Infinex, with its name combining Swap and Bridge. The system aggregates DEX and cross-chain bridge quotes at the same time, helping users complete one-step cross-chain trades across multiple chains. Compared with the traditional “bridge first, then swap” model, Swidge places more emphasis on a continuous trading experience.
Beyond cross-chain aggregation, Infinex also integrates perpetual contract trading. The platform currently supports a Perps system based on Hyperliquid, allowing users to participate directly in onchain derivatives trading through a unified account.
For yield management, Infinex’s Earn module supports yield aggregation for assets such as stablecoins, ETH, and SOL. The Portfolio function is used to display assets and position information across different chains in one place.
INX is Infinex’s ecosystem token. Its use cases include fee discounts, governance participation, community incentives, and priority access to new features. The platform also plans to use part of its net revenue for market buybacks and to lock up INX, strengthening the connection between platform revenue and token economics.
According to current official disclosures, INX has a total supply of 10 billion tokens. The token also serves ecosystem expansion and user incentive functions.
| Module | Function |
|---|---|
| Fee Discounts | Fee reductions |
| Governance | Governance participation |
| Early Access | Priority access to new features |
| Buyback | Platform revenue buybacks |
Traditional Web3 wallets are mainly designed around “private keys” and “addresses.” Users need to manage seed phrases themselves and prepare the corresponding gas token for each chain. Infinex, by contrast, places more emphasis on a unified account and aggregated experience, reducing how often users need to notice differences between chains.
Compared with traditional wallets such as MetaMask, Infinex focuses more on multichain asset management, cross-chain aggregation, and a continuous trading experience. Passkey login and Account Abstraction also make it feel closer to an internet product.
Although Account Abstraction and Passkey can improve the user experience, these technologies are still in the early stages of industry development. Compatibility across different chains and protocols, as well as the security of cross-chain systems, still requires long-term validation.
In addition, cross-chain bridges, aggregators, and smart contract protocols may face vulnerabilities, liquidity risks, or regulatory risks. When participating in onchain trading and yield protocols, users still need to pay attention to digital asset price volatility and potential technical risks.
Infinex attempts to redefine how users access DeFi. Compared with traditional wallets and single protocols, its core value is not just that it provides one particular function. Instead, it reduces the complexity of onchain finance through a unified account system, Passkey login, multichain aggregation, and integrated trading.
As Account Abstraction and the multichain ecosystem continue to develop, the “DeFi superapp” model represented by platforms such as Infinex may become one of the important directions for future onchain infrastructure.
Infinex is closer to an aggregated DeFi superapp. It includes wallet functions while also integrating cross-chain trading, perpetual contracts, and yield protocols.
Infinex mainly uses a Passkey login system, so users generally do not need to manually record a seed phrase to create or access an account.
INX can be used for fee discounts, governance participation, priority access to new features, community incentives, and other scenarios.
Swidge does more than provide cross-chain bridge functionality. It also aggregates DEX routes and liquidity to create a one-step cross-chain trading experience.
Infinex’s account system uses Account Abstraction-related logic, so it is generally viewed as a wallet application based on Account Abstraction.
