The wealthiest top 20% of Americans now hold approximately $4.91 trillion in stocks and funds, accounting for about 87% of the total.

In comparison, the middle 40% hold only $590 billion, while the bottom 40% hold even less at just $150 billion.

Since the 2020 pandemic, the top 20%'s stock assets increased by $2.98 trillion, representing a 154% gain.

Meanwhile, the remaining 80% collectively added only $420 billion.

In other words, the top 20% earned more than 6 times what the remaining 80% earned.

Simply put, asset owners are becoming increasingly wealthy, while those without assets have benefited very little.
