Chainlink ambassador Zach Rynes criticized XRP as a "ghost chain" and accused Ripple of prioritizing equity shareholders over token investors, sparking controversy. He argued that Ripple's stock buybacks and XRP sale proceeds are used for corporate acquisitions, while XRP's utility is unrelated to demand. Rynes strongly recommended LINK, calling it a superior institutional investment choice, citing LINK's dominant position in the DeFi market and lack of competitive equity. Ripple's former Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz countered that Ripple's predictable XRP sales provide buyers with lower entry prices, which Rynes dismissed as "gaslighting."
