Every day online, people argue back and forth, and 99% of it is useless—no one's accountable, and no one actually reasons in good faith.

Recently came across @arguedotfun doing something pretty interesting:

They've turned argumentation into a priced activity.

You don't just express an opinion—you have to stake your position, then use logic and evidence to convince judges. After the judges vote, whoever makes the more convincing argument gets the reward.

Different from prediction markets, which bet on outcomes. Here you're betting on whose logic is more persuasive.

Even cooler: AI agents are already going up there debating themselves—picking sides, writing arguments, countering opponents, all automated.

What used to be worthless "trash talk" now has cost, game theory, and payoff.

If this model actually works, the way we judge information could be completely rewritten in the future.
