I was just sitting here looking at the Gate Square feed and all I see is people screaming about which dog hat frog coin is going to pump thirty percent before the deployer dumps the remaining ninety five percent of the supply on everyone's head. It is honestly exhausting to watch. It is the same cycle every single week. Someone finds a new narrative animal or a new AI bot that was clearly made in five minutes with a template and suddenly everyone throws rent money at it like it is the second coming of Bitcoin. I have been in this space long enough to know how that movie ends and I am not interested in being an exit liquidity extra in someone else's low budget rug pull production. That is not the Repanzal way of doing business.
Then Gate goes and drops this GateLaunchesPreIPOS announcement and I have to admit it actually made me stop scrolling for more than two seconds. I actually clicked into the details and read the actual words instead of just looking at the market cap badge. And you know what I realized. This is the kind of thing we used to actually look for back when we all called it a launchpad and not a liquidity farm for insiders. The idea of getting into a token generation event before the official listing on the open market is not new but the way the space has been acting lately you would think it is a foreign concept. Everyone is so trained to just smash the buy button on the five minute old chart that they forgot you can actually get allocation before the chart even exists. That is where the real edge is. That is where you find the price discovery that does not start with a twenty million dollar valuation before you even wake up in the morning.
The thing about Pre IPO style launches is that they force a bit of patience and frankly that is exactly what this market needs a hard dose of. Everyone wants to be a millionaire by Thursday and because of that everyone ends up holding a bag worth zero by Friday afternoon. Gate is putting these projects through a process that requires actual vetting and actual structure. I am not saying every project that comes through the pipe is going to be the next Solana obviously but I am saying the hit rate on a vetted pre market token versus a random pump fun graduation is statistically night and day. And if you are using your GT holdings for more than just a ten percent discount on spot fees you are finally extracting the actual utility from the ecosystem rather than just letting it sit there like a dusty trophy.
I keep seeing people ask where the smart money is going. The smart money is not in the group chats you are in where the admin is posting a contract address with a rocket emoji at three in the morning.
