On Monday, US stocks had a great time. The Nasdaq soared 2.69%, the Dow rose 0.44%, and the S&P 500 increased by 1.55%—this rebound was mainly supported by tech stocks, and it seems everyone has forgotten the concerns about the AI bubble from last week.

AVGO (Broadcom) surged 11%, becoming the biggest winner. Why? Google and Amazon, these two giants, have announced that they will burn money on AI, and Broadcom, as a chip supplier, is directly reaping the benefits. Although investors claim that AI spending may slow down, they still get excited at the news of new big orders.

OSCR (Oscar Health) rose 22%, purely positive policy news - the Trump administration may extend ACA subsidies, and insurance companies breathed a sigh of relief.

However, there are also declines. NVO (Novo Nordisk) fell 6%, for a heart-wrenching reason: they used GLP-1 drugs for Alzheimer's trials, but the results were disappointing. The CEO of the company emphasized that this was a gamble, but investors clearly are not buying it—another disappointment in the treatment of dementia.

ANF (Abercrombie & Fitch) also dropped 6%. Tomorrow it will release its earnings report, and the market is already anticipating bad news. The holiday consumption outlook is unclear, and retail stocks are collectively plunging. This stock has fallen over 50% this year.
